The Google Gears project has released a beta version of their browser code for Safari (3.1.1 and above) which enable developers to make web apps that behave more like local desktop apps.

The CakePHP team is working to finally push out stable CakePHP 1.2. I follow the trac timeline and I can see everybody is in their work of bug fixing and get everything stable. 92% tasks has been completed and this is great news to everybody who is waiting for stable 1.2 release.
